Hi everyone,
I've been using the CatsXP browser for a while now and overall, I have to say it's a fantastic browser. The performance, features, and customization options are top-notch and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
However, I've noticed one issue that stands out compared to other Chromium-based browsers: typing in the address bar feels sluggish. There's a noticeable lag when entering URLs or search terms, which can be quite frustrating at times.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any settings or tweaks that might help improve the responsiveness of the address bar?
Aside from this minor inconvenience, CatsXP has been great and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich browser.
Thanks!
Blade

The temporary fix is to disable the query in Settings. I believe it to be a regression. It's only been introduced in a few recent versions.catsxp 写了: 2024年 6月 7日 15:06 Do you have a lot of historical records?

No, it occurs on a fresh install without any historical records. I still notice a slight lag even after disabling the search query.catsxp 写了: 2024年 6月 7日 15:06 Do you have a lot of historical records?

Additionally, there is no lag in the official Chrome browser, even with the history and search query enabled.

I have the same experience as you. I even disabled all queries including quick commands. But the developer doesn't care. He always insisting on that this problem is normal and tries to blame things like too many historical records or too many bookmarks. No. This is not and should not be the case. This browser was not used to be that weak. Querying doesn't and shouldn't take much time. This is a regression but the developer doesn't want to acknowledge that it's a regression.Blade 写了: 2024年 6月 13日 12:25No, it occurs on a fresh install without any historical records.
