It happened randomly. You can't do anything to help it other than exit the browser, wait a few minutes and reopen it. Sometimes, waiting a few minutes is not enough and a restart of the computer is needed.

This is a user profile that was created very recently, so I don't think that my user profile was corrupted. I just experienced it again today. The browser failed to block ads on YouTube. I restarted the computer and opened the browser, and it's now able to block ads on YouTube again.

I guess the browser sometimes failed to parse the filters. I'm sure it's not because I'm visiting YouTube while the browser is updating the filters. I checked and found that the filters were last updated yesterday.

Update: I tried to update all of the filters manually (I have plenty of them!). Even if I did so, the browser still failed to block ads. The only solution is to exit the browser, wait a few minutes, and reopen it. Sometimes, waiting a few minutes is not enough, and a restart of the computer is needed.

Note: It only fails on some random websites, but not all websites. Sometimes, the problematic website is YouTube, but sometimes it's a news website. I also have filters to block cookie banners, so most of the time I don't see any of them, but sometimes a large cookie banner pops up. It's not as reliable as Ublock Origin.

I decided to switch back to Ublock Origin. As long as Ublock Origin is still functional and not having too much performance impact, I will keep using it. Ublock Origin is much faster on Firefox. On Catsxp, I can see how it impacts the loading speed of the pages. The built-in Catsxp Shield has much better performance.
